Seahorses

The lions read the book Seahorses by Hannah Reed.   They have made a movie to share all the interesting facts they learnt about seahorses.

They also had some questions about Seahorses that were not answered by the book and these were:

1. Where do seahorses sleep?
2. How do they find other seahorses?
3. How do they find their food?

If you can help us answer any of these questions please leave us a comment.

Thanks Grant!

We are very lucky because Miss Mac's Dad has donated his old ipad to our classroom. We've been using two ipads in our classroom for maths and reading and we love it, but two ipads between eight kids means a lot of waiting around for a turn. We are very happy to have another one to share and some of us have written letters to say thank you.

Playing with the ipads.

The Grinch, by Vicky

Vicky has been working on writing stories with a clear beginning, middle and end.  Yesterday she wrote a fantastic story about the Grinch.  Watch her movie to find out if Christmas has been saved.

Mr McGee's adventures continue

After watching Deziah's and Noelani's Mr McGee stories, George and Ofa were inspired to write their own. Have a look at the movies they made of their stories using puppet theatre on the ipad.

Mr McGee

We have been reading the Mr McGee books by Pamela Allen.

We think Mr McGee is really funny and some of the children decided to write their own Mr McGee stories.  We used Puppet Pals on the ipad to publish our stories.  The children drew their own backgrounds and used photos to create the characters.  Let us know what you think.
