Happy Diwali

It was Diwali yesterday and we learned about Rangoli patterns.  First we practiced making them with the shapes in our classroom and then some of the children choose to draw some patterns outside with chalk.  You can see what we did on the slideshow below.

Here is Rohit reading his Diwali story.

Celebrations

Over the weekend lots of the children had fireworks at home for Diwali and Guy Fawkes night.  When they came back to school they were very excited to share their experiences.  Some of the students chose to write stories about it.  Two of the stories are true and one is not.  Can you guess which story is made up?

Happy Diwali

On Friday it was Diwali, the Indian festival of light.  We decided to celebrate it by making Barfi and Rangoli patterns.  Take a look at our video to see the what we did.
