The Tragedy

Halloween is Loveday's favourite holiday and she has written a scary story to celebrate it.  She has used puppet pals to publish her story and she decided that it's title was 'The tragedy'.  Watch the video and leave Loveday a comment to let her know what you think.

What am I?

We have been writing what am I stories this week.  We chose an animal and drew it in our story writing books.  We then wrote down all the ways we could describe it around the animal.  Once we had done this we were ready to write.  Here is the kakariki writing group reading thier stories.  Can you guess the animals correctly?

Chicken Licken

As part of our reading rotation children can choose to use puppet pals on the ipad to retell a familiar story.  Last term Loveday created a play using the story of chicken licken.  She used great expression and interesting voices for the different charactrers.  Well done Loveday.

Where's Malfoy? By Loveday

Loveday has spent most of this term working on a chapter book and last week she finally finished.  She used Zooburst to publish her story,  carefully looking for the pictures she needed and placing them on each page.  Have a look and let her know what you think.

Captain Blackbeard

When we got to school on Monday Wally was gone!  He'd left a letter telling us that he had gone on a treasure hunt with Captain Blackbeard.  We had to follow the clues left by Captain Blackbeard each day to find Wally and the treasure.

Welcome Back!

We are all back at school for the new year and it is very exciting.  This year the children in A3 are year 2s, so we are a little older and there are alot more of us! Take a look at the slideshow to meet the children who are in A3 this year,  you might recognise some of the faces.  We are looking forward to sharing our learning with everyone.
