Rugby World Cup 2011

The Rugby World Cup is being hosted in New Zealand this year and the opening ceremony took place on Friday.  The children were very excited and couldn't wait to talk and write about it when we got back to school today.  Over the next week we'll be posting our stories about the world cup celebrations and we'd love to hear your comments.  Here is George's story about the first game between New Zealand and Tonga.

Hi George, you had lots of great ideas in your story. Did you stay up to watch the game?

Hi George. Great reading and writing. If you like playing rugby maybe you might be an all black some day and we might be watching you on tv.

George!!! I never new that was going to be on the blog. You were writing it down on a piece of paper at home. I don't think the All Blacks have won the rugby world cup yet. Your rite that New Zealand won against Tonga that's really good that they did.
